ESEE uses two Google Calendars associated with faculty Google accounts:
1) The ESEE program calendar includes all dates for meetings, professional developments, and deadlines. This calendar is not shared with candidates. All ESEE faculty members will have full access to add, edit, or delete events from this calendar.
2) The ESEE teacher candidate calendar includes all special events and assignment deadlines for teacher candidates. This will help faculty articulate assignment deadlines, so that they are reasonably distributed, and help candidates stay organized. All ESEE faculty have full access to add or delete events from this calendar, but candidates do not.
ESEE faculty are expected to use these calendars, both to enter course information for candidates and to stay current with our own meeting dates, times and locations.
NOTE: Remember that everyone can see the events you add, and everyone loses the events you delete. If you have personal preferences for alarms, visibility, color, or want to merge ESEE events to your own calendar, please use “My Calendars” on the left side of the screen.
Laulima
Course management in the ESEE Program is facilitated through Laulima at https://laulima.hawaii.edu/portal. The two faculty members who are co-teaching a course will merge their two sections together. In this way, they are able to view all candidates’ assessments and provide feedback to all candidates. In addition, all candidates will have
comprehensive and consistent access to resources, messages, and communications through a
single, shared Laulima site. Faculty members are encouraged to co-design their site for easy navigation.

OwnCloud
The entire College of Education at UHM is currently transitioning to OwnCloud. For the ESEE program, the online platform is especially usefully for collaboration and file sharing. With large teams of faculty who often need to share sensitive information this is an elegant solution. The TDP department is available to help us trouble-shoot as we are early adopters.
