ESEE Program Policies
Grading
Scale: The following scale determines the final letter grade equivalence for the candidates’ earned percentage. The means for determining the percentage points lies within each course instructors’ discretion.
Incomplete Work: Candidates must complete all of the assignments to receive a passing grade. The instructors will not grant incompletes (with rare exceptions, such as critical illness, that are beyond the candidate’s control).
Repeating: Candidates must repeat any course in which they earn a grade below a “C”. Repeating a course will put the candidate off-track for student teaching and graduation. Courses may only be repeated once.
GPA Requirement: Candidates must maintain at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA to continue in the program and to apply for student teaching.
ESEE Late Work Policy
The following policy was established to help create positive work-habits among candidates. There is a 24-hour “grace” period in which late work will not lose points, however candidates will lose points on PROFESSIONALISM. This is consistent among all courses. Individual course instructors may choose the number of points lost on the assignment each day thereafter. Instructor discretion may be applied under exceptional circumstances, especially with a request for permission PRIOR to due date.
