ESEE Program Policies
Technology
The ESEE Program utilizes technology in the following ways.
Textbooks
Faculty for the 2015-2017 cohort have chosen to work with the Pearson Digital Library —a convenient, digital solution intended to save candidate costs on course materials. The Digital Library offers candidates access to a complete digital library of the Pearson textbooks and MyEducationLabs used across the EESE curriculum candidates pay per 6 months of use. Candidates retrieve access codes in the school bookstore, or may purchase directly online: http://www.pearsoncustom.com/hi/manoa/digitallibrary/education/index.html
iPads
All candidates are issued an iPad mini to use to both access instruction as a student and to facilitate instruction in field settings. It is expected that candidates download the suggested applications listed here, maintain the iPad in working order, bring the iPad to all course sessions, and return the iPad to the program upon the completion of student teaching. Candidates are required to purchase a protective case for the iPad mini.

Laptop and Microsoft Word
Candidates within the COE are required to have a laptop with wifi capabilities. All candidates are required to purchase a computer and Microsoft word (2006 or newer). Candidates can purchase this software in the UH Bookstore.
